Cosmetic: "Create Filters" button - different icons in toolbar vs settings

Thunderbird 147.0.1 on macOS 15.7.3, QuickFolders 6.14.3pre14

Found an icon mismatch between the Advanced Settings for "Current Folder Toolbar" and the actual icon in the toolbar.
Command-button "Create Filters / Activate Filter Teaching"
Cosmetic only.

Not sure if this report belong into QuickFolders or QuickFilters repository. If I am not mistaken, that menu bar shows up for the QuickFilters Pro version as well?

Well spotted - this is the original icon from the feature - rudimentarily the feature exists in QuickFolders (when I was experimenting with assisting filter creation) so that's the original filter assistant icon (before I even named it filter assistant, might have been called a wizard or something). However the icon evolved as I developed it into a full blown Add-on and created a design language that worked for its many many features.

Conceptually, both - but only quickFilters (spelled in camel case with a lowercase q) could possibly fix it. It's because quickFilters integrates into QuickFolders' Current Folder toolbar - it does overwrite the icon there with its own icon:

It doesn't actually overlay the quickFilters settings tab (which is a web extension / content tab) with layout rules. Might be possible to do this but it's tricky. I could potentially include the icon as alternative in QuickFolders itself and somehow detect that quickFilters is running and then patch it at runtime, that would probably be easier than hacking in "from the outside" trying to fix the rule from quickFilters on a content page belonging to another add-on.

Thanks for the explanation and history. Tricky with "interfacing" two add-ons. But not at all a big deal with the icon, I think we can live with it. 🙂
An idea might be to simply expand the mouseover tool-tip with text "Icon looks different if quickFolders installed" or such.
