I only install the package via npm, following the steps, but when run it, generate this error:
"TypeError: Cannot set property 'current' of null"

This error was happening because the ref prop is required. After adding it, the error went away.

it is happening to me as well and when I try to add a ref it is saying that ref is not a prop.
