easier to differentiate types of color pickers

there is a color picker to use the color currently on the pointer, but there is the same color picker to show wich swatch on the level is used there, often causing misdirection on the tool usage

I note that they aren't the same icon but are very similar.
Definitely can see where they can get confusing.

I tend to use the icon with more details (the second one) more than the first:

what about making the cursor different?

just flip the cursor sprite:
one facing right
one facing left
that is how its done in adobe illustrator

The flipped cursor sounds like a good idea.
That would at least add an additional signal that things are different.
The directional/spatial cues are very important in UX/UI design.

In related news there are users very interested in gaining more access to ability to customize cursors without resorting to building Opentoonz from source.

at least, in toonboom you see a folder in "resources" wich contains all the cursors in .png format, if you edit these images keeping their original name, the cursors can be modified
