<p>Rollins provides a basic website to international franchisees. This website is based on a template reflecting Orkin brand standards and best practices.<br>
The new franchisee completes the <a href="documents/InternationalFranchise_Packet.pdf">Website Design Scope of Work</a> document to begin the process, and supplies specific required content to localize the website for the region. </p>

<p>A standard franchise website is developed in WordPress using an existing template. The franchisee specifies an Orkin Man image, provides one custom image for their website, and provides custom content to replace specific standard content. </p>
<p>Franchisees can request additional website customizations for an additional fee. These customizations include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Standard template with custom English content</li>
<li>Standard Template with custom Other Language content</li>
<li>Custom images</li>
<li>Additional pages and content</li>
<li>Custom dynamic scripts or code</li>
<li>Hosting on a different web app server environment or CMS </li>
</ul>
<p>Before beginning development, ensure you have the following informatino from the Marketing Manager:</p>

<li>Domain verification</li>
<li>Contact Name</li>
<li>Email address for display on website</li>
<li>Email address for lead information</li>
<li>Telephone number</li>
<li>List of franchise services</li>
<li>Orkin Man image requested by franchisee</li>
<li>Custom images submitted by franchisee</li>
<li>Custom content submitted by franchisee</li>

<p id="intdomain"><strong>Verifying a Domain</strong></p>
<p>Typically, domain verification and acquisition is handled by the International Franchise Team.</p>
<p>To verify ownership of a domain, navigate to <a href="https://www.whois.net/">https://www.whois.net/</a>.<br>
Type the franchise domain name in the search box and click the magnifying glass icon.<br>
A registered domain returns information about the registrant, contacts, and name servers associated with the domain.<br>
An unregistered domain returns a message stating that no data is available for that domain.</p>

<li>If the desired domain is already registered to Rollins, the Marketing Technology team maps the host name to the DNS.</li>
<li>If the desired domain is unregistered, the International Franchise team purchases the domain. The Marketing Technology team maps the host name to the DNS.</li>
<li>If the desired domain already registered to another party, send this information to the International Franchise representatives for Legal and IT Architecture, who will address the issue and advise the International Franchise team on next steps.</li>

<h4 id="intoidotcom" style="margin-top:100px; border-top: thin solid #bcbeb0; width:50%">Adding Content to Orkininternational.com</h4>
<p><a href="poporkintern.html" target="popup" onclick="window.open('poporkintern.html','popup','width=1200,height=1200,scrollbars=no,resizable=no'); return false;"> Orkininternational.com </a> is a website owned by Rollins, featuring a directory of international franchises.<br>
Add the franchise contact information to the Orkininternational.com directory and to the interactive map. When the franchise website is fully developed, add a hyperlink to the franchise listing in the directory and map.</p>
<p>Follow these steps:</p>
<p>Prior to developing the franchise website, add the franchise contact information to the Orkininternational.com directory and to the interactive map. After the franchise website is approved and deployed, add the final URL to the directory and map information.<br>
To update Orkininternational.com, follow these steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>Use FileZilla, or a similar FTP client tool, to download the Orkininternational.com javascript files to your local environment. <br>
Download the files from the /var/www/html/orkininternational/js directory to your local environment.<br>

<li>Copy and paste the finished code into the main.js file in your text editor.<br>

<li>Clicking the link in the franchise list and clicking the associated map pin launches the expected informational pop-up window for the franchise. The pop-up window has the expected look and feel.</li>
<li>The pop-up window contains all appropriate contact information.</li>
<li>The contact information exactly matches the information submitted by the franchisee. All information is spelled correctly and number formatting exactly matches the franchisee’s submission.</li>
<li>The Contact Name is hyperlinked and directs to the franchise website’s Contact Us page.</li>
<li>The URL for the franchise website is correctly spelled and formatted and directs to the new franchise website.</li>
<li>All hyperlinks open in a new window.</li>
