Pain
In Rules V3 (TinaCMS), figure prefixes for example templates (e.g. "Good Example" and "Bad Example") are not displayed unless caption text is entered. This creates a poor editing and viewing experience because users cannot distinguish between example types when captions are empty.
Currently, editors must add placeholder text to force the prefix to appear. The expected behavior is that when an example type is selected (Good Example, Bad Example, or Okay Example), the corresponding prefix should display even if the caption field is empty. If no example type is selected, nothing should be shown.
Acceptance Criteria
- When a Good Example figure type is selected and the caption is empty, the "Good Example" prefix is still displayed
- When a Bad Example figure type is selected and the caption is empty, the "Bad Example" prefix is still displayed
- When an Okay Example figure type is selected and the caption is empty, the "Okay Example" prefix is still displayed
- No extra dash or empty caption placeholder is shown when the caption field is empty
- When no example type is selected, no prefix or caption area is displayed
- Existing behavior continues to work correctly when caption text is provided
Reproduce Steps
- Open a rule in Rules V3 (TinaCMS)
- Add or locate a figure configured as a Good Example, Bad Example, or Okay Example
- Leave the caption/text field empty
- Preview or view the rendered rule
- Observe that the example prefix is not displayed unless text is entered into the caption field
