Enable pin required?

I just setup a couple of these modules and so far so good! I've done a few test flights and the recordings are coming out great so first of all thank you!

I have one question though, aside from choosing which flights should or shouldn't get recorded, is there any other purpose for the enable pin? Like if I change the wiring/code to always be enabled is there any harm in terms of SD card corruption or something like that?

I don't really think I need a separate enable pin so I'm considering a 3 wire setup that just starts recording when armed.

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been very busy lately.

This is something I didn’t plan for, but it’s possible to do by modifying the code.
By editing line 368 in the check_pin method and setting
enabled = 1
instead of
enabled = self.enable_pin.value() == 1
it should then work without needing to solder the wire.
