Date field improvements

Date field in web UI should have optional UI for choosing date.

Format of date field content should be shown in UI element for manual entry as hint text.
(YYYY-MM-DD? DD-MM-YYYY? MM-DD-YYYY?)

Do you mean a date picker, does the date field currently render as a text field?

It would probably be good to have a date format setting in the settings somewhere.
