Structural Patch Protocol — Paper

Status

Working paper in preparation.

A formal paper on Structural Patch Protocol (SPP) is currently being written.

The citable preprint version will be linked here after publication on Preprints.org or an equivalent preprint server.

Scope

This paper covers Phase 1 of SPP:

  • Quality-control protocol for AI-driven changes to existing artifacts
  • Actual Artifact First Gate
  • Probe Patch and verification flow
  • Failed Patch Withdrawal Rule
  • Verified Merge
  • Cleanup Gate and canonical structure reconstruction
  • Domain neutrality
  • Relation to SAI-Protocol
  • Initial code-oriented use case
  • Two motivating observations:
    • Schema mismatch / Actual Artifact Violation
    • Patch Stratification in UI cleanup

Tooling automation, CI integration, large-scale benchmark evaluation, and domain-specific profiles beyond the initial code use case are out of scope for this paper.
