13.12.2021: my hello world program still works with the U8Glib. With the Object:

I successfully updated the code to compile successfully with U8G2 instead of U8glib. Unfortunately the memory requirements increase from 85% to 95%.

I suggest as long as we don't run into any issues and don't want to change big parts of the code I would not switch to U8G2.

Wow thank you for doing that. I have also read through you changes. Pretty nice to see that someone is also improving it.
