Riffmaster no longer works on Clone hero

I legit have no idea what to do. Riffmaster was working fine, i dont have gameinput installed, i have gameinput services active in services, and rb4 picks up the riffmaster and clone hero shows it as an active controller but no inputs work, there is absolutely nothing about this so are riffmasters just no longer supported? from my perspective it seems like an impossible fix because all the issues that were previously present have already been addressed and whatever is happening here is wholly unknown.

I am having this same issue! I've tried reinstalling, everything shows good and connected but 0 input in clone hero.

This happened to me as well. I was able to get it to work by just using an app called Zadig and converting the Riffmaster to use the WinUSB driver

Without RB4InstrumentMapper running, but with the guitar turned on and connected:

1. Open Zadig, click Options > List all devices
2. In the drop down select the PDP Riffmaster
3. In the target driver drop down choose WinUSB
4. Install driver

After Zadig shows that the driver was successfully installed, turn off the guitar, turn it back on, open the RB4InstrumentMapper app and click Start. It should work for Clone Hero after that. You might need to restart your PC after installing the driver, but I didn't.

There might be a more simple fix, but this is what worked for me.

I also recently ran into this and I think I found the issue. I saw a reddit post about both a "GameInput" and "GameInput Redist" running on the same machine causing issues. Apparently this was caused by a recent Windows 11 update. I killed the GameInput Redist service, uninstalled Microsoft GameInput from Programs and features, then fired up RB4 Instrument mapper and hit start, after that it worked fine, but I did have to manually re-map all the buttons.

I've mainly been playing on my Steam Deck since that does not have the same issues Windows has, the Riffmaster is pretty much plug and play on SteamOS.
