Using this add-on caused my original entry to delete

I attempted to clone an entry using this add-on. I went to the "Simple Cloner" tab when viewing the entry I wanted to clone, I added a suffix for new entry, turned on the toggle button to "clone entry", and then saved. Doing this logged me out, and when I logged back in to the control panel, not only was there no clone present, but the original entry had been deleted. Major inconvenience.

Apologies for this, I will look into it. Can you comment your EE version number and Simple Cloner version number please.

Just as a PSA: I am considering taking the addon down from devo-tee for the time being and recommending that it only be used as a beta as it is definitely not up to the desired standard and I don't have the contributors or the time I need at the moment to bring it up to where it needs to be. It was initially only a project built for my department and while I'm glad people are using it successfully, there seems to be too many issues for it to achieve desired effect.

I am having some trouble duplicating this one. In addition to your EE version number and Simple Cloner version number, could you include the fieldtypes that you are using in this channel entry? Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. EE version: 3.4.7 SimpleCloner version: 1.2.0 The entry had only one field type: grid. With 194 rows.

Apologies really having trouble replicating this with those version numbers. Was there an error message at all? I don't suppose you could grant me temporary access to your EE instance, or do a Teamviewer at somepoint to investigate? Thanks.

I can't remember if there was an error message because it logged me out as soon as I saved the entry (and I had not been idle at all, so shouldn't have logged me out of the CP.) I am open to a screen share at some point soon, but have some pressing deadlines this week. Would you like to do that next week sometime?
