LXC Script aborts with error "curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404"

When running the setup_minecraft_lxc.sh script, after updating packages and checking for OpenJDK 21, it suddenly aborts with the stated curl error. Note that only the file /opt/minecraft/eula.txt exists after the script aborts, so the issue may be in the code that downloads PaperMC server jar.

Thanks for reporting this.

You are correct: the installer was previously constructing a PaperMC download URL
that could return a 404 due to changes in the PaperMC API.

The download logic has been fixed to use the official
/builds/latest endpoint from api.papermc.io, including SHA256 verification
and a minimum file size check to avoid HTML error pages being saved as JAR files.

This fix is now part of the updated setup_minecraft_lxc.sh.
Please re-download the script and run it again.

Correction / Update:

PaperMC does not provide a /builds/latest endpoint (it returns 404).
The correct approach is to query the latest version, take the last numeric build id from the builds array,
then download via /builds/<build>/downloads/<jar>.

The installer has been updated accordingly (still includes SHA256 verification and a min-size check).
Please re-download setup_minecraft_lxc.sh and run it again.
