The game works well now with D3D acceleration enabled, however:

On initial load, the game will set its swapchain size to the desktop size, which causes a mismatch of the cursor position on UI elements. This can be worked around by togging 3D acceleration off and back on.

Running the game in windowed mode causes incessant flickering for some reason.
