Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I enabled the Randomize Pitches option (boolean), but I noticed that the random pitch range is way wider than the one of the original Doom v1.2, and I don't see an easy way to narrow this range. Looking at sources and docs I tried to issue pitchshiftrange (values 0-7) command from the console but it has absolutely no effect on how the sounds are played.
Describe the solution you'd like
The Randomize Pitches option, that now is "on/off", might be improved to:
off
auto (equivalent to "on" today)
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
Describe alternatives you've considered
Is there a way to set the random pitch range using autoexec.cfg?
Thanks a lot.
