What are the licensing terms of this project?

Also, just curious, why did you move it from CodePlex to GitHub?

It's under the Apache 2.0 license. I don't know the legal stuff very well, but my expectation is that you can basically do anything you want with it.
If you end up using it for anything commercial I would appreciate knowing what it is, but that is not a requirement.
I moved it to Github because it's better than codeplex. Also, it is more useful for my resume to give links to github repos rather than codeplex.

Hi Josh,

The legal stuff can be quite tricky. For example, the GPL licenses are quite restrictive and if a commercial product touches some GPL stuff, it may have catastrophic consequences. The Apache license is much more commercial friendly, but my experience is that the MIT license is the most free and open of those that I’ve seen.

I am helping a company named Atlas.ti (www.atlasti.comhttp://www.atlasti.com) to create a new product on the .Net framework. We’ll need some tab control support, but it will need a lot of customization. I was thinking either of modifying your project (i.e. create a local fork) or use some ideas from it. That’s the reason I’ve asked. But if I read your response, we are free to use any part of it in any way that we want for a commercial project. That’s very nice, thank you!

Regarding the Github, it’s quite a hype, but I personally find it less user friendly than Codeplex.
