cant use .jar files

I needed to update Java to JDK version 25, so I downloaded and installed it. However, the .jar files kept telling me I had an outdated version, so I went into the control panel on windows and uninstalled all versions (I had JDK 17 and Oracle Java 8) and reinstalled JDK version 25. Now I can't open any .jar files; it's as if JDK 25 wasn't installed at all.

Did you test with the latest update version?

@daniv263 Try the following:

Open Command Prompt (Win + R → type cmd → Enter) and run:

• java -version
• where java
• echo %JAVA_HOME%
• assoc .jar then ftype jarfile

And report the output here and I'll see if I can help
