Feature request: Pin, search, and archive sessions #406

Description

@Morpheus-Q

Hi, thanks for building Pi Web. I use it as my primary interface for Pi because I often keep several conversations active and switch between them. The web interface works much better for this workflow than the CLI.

As the number of sessions grows, however, the current session sidebar becomes difficult to manage. It would be very helpful to add a few basic session-management features:

  1. Pin sessions

    • Allow important or frequently used sessions to stay at the top of the session list.
    • A simple pin/unpin action on each session would be sufficient.
  2. Search sessions

    • Add a search field to quickly find previous conversations.
    • Ideally, search could match the session title and conversation content, but title and first-message search would already be useful.
  3. Archive sessions

    • Allow inactive sessions to be archived without permanently deleting them.
    • Archived sessions could be hidden from the default list and accessible through an “Archived” view or filter.
    • It should be possible to restore an archived session.

My main use case is managing multiple ongoing Pi conversations across different projects. These features would make Pi Web much more practical as a long-term workspace instead of only a viewer for recent sessions.

I understand these features may need to be implemented incrementally. Even a first version with client-side search and simple pin/archive controls would be valuable.

Would you consider adding these features to the roadmap?
