Docker setup

Any interest in having a docker build for this? I’ve been searching for awhile trying to figure out how to get VoiceAttack to work on a Linux desktop but so far no luck. This repo is the closest thing to a Linux alternative. Problem is, I don’t run a Debian (or derivative) and would rather have an isolated environment to run this code under rather than make changes to my actual system (dependencies). One way to make this cross platform would be docker. It has been awhile since any code has been pushed to this repo so before I go down this road, I thought I would ask.

It should still work if you can get it to run - I currently try to use it again as I recently got back to Elite Dangerous, for which I need this. But python packages are giving me headaches... I guess I need to give the code some love again and also exchange the voice recognition software, as there are better ones now (although pocketsphinx still isn't that bad, but it's outdated).

Regarding isolated environment, you can always use a venv to install all the dependencies to not mess up your main python installation. Which wouldn't solve the root issue with xdotool, but maybe that helps.

# create venv once
python3 -m venv venv

# activate venv whenever you use the tool
source venv/bin/activate

# once install the requirements
pip install <package names>

# deactivate venv when done with the tool
deactivate

Ah, when using a venv, you'd need to remove the first line in the main.py, as it will override the python interpreter and not use the one from the venv. Then start with python3 main.py instead of just ./main.py
