Some suggestions

First of all, thanks a lot for creating this software.

It's really convenient to use and exactly suits my requirements. And above all these things, it's free and open source!

The software itself is awesome, but it might be even better if we have following features:

As for the tag, yes, it is currently hard to check multiple tags.
but keeping the menu open after the click is not the default behavior of menus,
i think.

So, the property dialog should have the function to do that?

And for the thumbnail count, it would be much difficult because current implementation
of the view system is poor and is not flexible. I myself is not satisfy with it.

The count and image size of thumbnails should be flexible and view system must be more
sophisticated.

It's a good idea to add tags to properties. But it may be better if it works in this way:

1. User selects a video
2. User presses "T" (short for tag), then an input box like below would appear:
   • Demo for adding new tag (live demo is here):
   • Demo for adding an existing tag (live demo is here):

(I'm a web developer so the example above comes from a js library. Not sure how difficult it is to implement it in QT...)

About the thumbnail count customization, in fact, this may not be that necessary. For my monitor size, 5 is already sufficient :)

BTW, I get some new may-be-helpful ideas when using this awesome software:

1. Allow user to multiple select videos and add tags to all selected videos. e.g. User wants to tag all videos of a TV series with the same tag
2. Allow user to multiple select videos and delete selected videos. e.g. User sorts all videos by size, and wants to delete all small videos

Yes implementing tags in property dialog is old-school.
One way to make it more modern is to use webbrowser for the view system,
that also would make it possible to use a js library.

I'm not sure but it looks difficult to implement it in QT world.

And for selecting multiple videos, yes, this app has poor feature.
When I start this app, I assume user already has a directory(folder) structure
for roughly categorizing videos and user uses other apps to delete them.

but it is inconvenient for users if they want to do what you mentioned.

Anyway the current viewer is the bottleneck to proceed.
