I'm currently working on a large series of books which takes place over billions of years in 2 alternate timelines. I tried using the "Alternative Calendar" but timeline doesn't sort dates in date order, just alphabetical order (not very useful). I tried using the "Gregorian Calendar" but ran into a problem where you can only move the calendar forward and backward in 50 year increments.
Two features enhancements that would solve the "Gregorian Calendar" issue are:
- At the top of the calendar add another set of arrows: <<< << < > >> >>>
< and > would move the calendar in the current 50 year increments
<< and >> would move the calendar in 1,000 year increments
<<< and >>> would move the calendar in 10,000 year increments
- Allow the date field to utilize freeform text and simply validate it so a user could input something like 08/03/50,000,143 B.C 1:25 AM.
