Thanks for this. I'm also running the ananke theme. You didn't show how you modified your site-footer.html file. I made the change to layouts/_default/single.html so it would only show on site posts and not every page. You can see the change here, lines 88-100. You'll have to ignore the other changes I made to show Previous/Next links for all posts in each section.

Requiring github to post should help cut down on spamming. 😄

Sorry about forgetting that and sorry for the slow response. Below is what I added to the default site-footer.html provided by the the ananke theme. You may need to modify it slightly to suit your taste, theme, etc.:
