Stanford Simple NLP transform

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting in an open-source project. Since I couldn't find any documentation explaining the workflow or any guidelines on how to report issues or ask questions, I apologize in advance if this is not the right place to post this.

My question concerns the Stanford Simple NLP transform in Apache Hop 18.1. I downloaded a snapshot from a URL provided in this repository that, if I'm right, includes a fix for an issue with the Merge Join transform.

In the screenshot below, you can see that I am unable to enable the two options at the bottom. I have installed the required libraries as described in the documentation, and the transform now works (whereas it did not before). However, it only performs sentence segmentation and word counting.

What I actually need is named entity recognition and the other NLP capabilities that Stanford NLP is supposed to provide. In short, I would like to know whether this functionality is still under development or if there is some additional configuration that I need to perform.

This is definitely the right place to ask questions ;-)

You're right that this is not a feature complete Stanford NLP implementation, hence the "Simple" in "Stanford Simple NLP". The 2 options at the bottom are placeholders that slipped into the original release and unfortunately haven't been updated or implemented since then.

Feel free to create feature requests if you need new features (issues tab -> new issue -> feature request).
