[Request]: Supporting Bootc-style containers

My question for you guys is: are you interested in expanding this project to support Bootc-style use cases (kernel comes from the container image, needing support for things like attaching block devices to do persistent installs) - blending into more "full VM" use cases.

Or would you prefer to more formalize support for other tools (like bcvk) to access the container storage directly and to these things outside?

There's nothing really actionable in this issue. I started looking at bootc but haven't gotten my head around it yet - could you create a discussion and describe there the case for enhancing container to play with bootc?
