cvmfs projects.cern.ch fail.

Hello.
Not sure how to interpret this (do not know much about cvfms), but projects.cern.ch fails to mount, although it is mandatory according to readme.md.

Hi Dimitris,

the reason is the following: for proprietary reasons, CERN cannot publish cuda itself outside of the CERN network, so some parts of cvmfs are internal to the CERN network, including /cvmfs/projects.cern.ch.
So if you do this:

source /cvmfs/sft.cern.ch/lcg/views/devAdePT/latest/x86_64-el9-gcc13-opt/setup.sh

without access to /cmvs/projects.cern.ch (which is internal to the CERN network),
it ships all the dependencies (including g4hepem, which is built with cuda) but it will lack cuda itself.

There are two viable options now:
a) sourcing that file above, and build cuda by hand (after sourcing that environment, to have the correct gcc). In that lcg view, cuda 12.4.1 (full=12.4.1_550.54.15) is used, so it would be good to match that. Then build AdePT with that cuda.
b) build all the external dependencies with any local cuda installation as explained here.

Note that the spack package has not been maintained for longer time. I will update the Readme and the documentation soon, to make those things clear.
