Rolling broken on fresh install

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. clear install or start with fresh device
2. install AVDR
3. press preset buttons without loading or creating a character
4. observe no roll

Expected behavior
user should immediately get rolls from preset buttons even on fresh install
