atom-latex and spell-check not working

I am using the atom-latex package(https://atom.io/packages/atom-latex) and wanted spell check.
I added the scope text.tex.latex and spell check worked.
I removed the scope after spell checking my document.
After that I spell check does not work on any scope, not even plain text.
I did reset my atom settings and spell check worked.
But when I re installed atom-latex and added the scope for latex spell-check stopped working again, even in plain text.
