I recently discovered this repository and think it deserves more attention from the developer community. The Claude Code MCP implementation provides a valuable bridge between Anthropic's Claude models and the Model Context Protocol, offering powerful software engineering capabilities through a standardized interface.
Current State
The project has gained some traction (currently at 52 stars) and has seen integration with platforms like Smithery. However, development seems to have slowed down since the initial implementation in March 2025.
Feature Requests
To help this project gain more visibility and adoption, I'd like to suggest:
Enhanced Getting Started Documentation: Add more detailed installation and configuration guides, especially addressing cross-platform issues like the macOS problem mentioned in issue Working directory on MacOS? #5.
Usage Examples & Tutorials: Create a "Examples" directory with sample projects showing how to use Claude Code MCP for different use cases (code review, refactoring, etc.).
Developer Videos/Demos: Consider creating a short demo video showing the capabilities in action.
Community Showcase: Add a section to the README where users can submit projects using claude-code-mcp.
Benefits
These enhancements would:
Lower the barrier to entry for new users
Showcase the practical applications of the project
Encourage community contributions
Increase visibility in the AI developer tooling ecosystem
Discussion
I'm curious about the roadmap for this project:
Are there plans for continued development?
How does this relate to official Claude Code support for MCP?
What features are highest priority?
I'd be happy to contribute to documentation improvements if that would be helpful.
Thanks for creating this valuable tool for the community!
