What if we have only a hosting provider with access to cPanel and the file structure. I can create a cron job, but I don't know if I can clone the git repository on my hostgator account. Thanks.

Yes, because it works by checking the output from git pull to see if there were any changes.

It's likely a different version could monitor https://github.com/<org>/<repo>/wiki/_history for changes, although it may still need disk to store the state it last saw.

Another option is not to use Github Wiki and instead use a real repo with Github Pages; a real repo would provide mechanism for pull requests (which have notifications, not to mention a chance to peer review changes), issue tracking, etc. It also gives more freedom for the style of the generated wiki/pages. The downside is that it requires initial investment in learning how github-pages are setup, but it should be a one-time investment.
