New to Bazel - request instructions on how to run

Ran through the bazel tutorial. (Newbie to bazel)

Trying to now run bazel over this repo. Seems like "gazelle" is the only target. (v0.3.6 tag)

Two requests for more information

1. how to build instructions inside the examples folder for one of the examples
2. this repo requires bazel 6.4.0 but latest is 7.3.0

I think documentation like this will wait for a 1.0
