cannot upgrade to v1.23.2

Interesting. What version of go are you on? Just asking since I just ran bootdev upgrade on go 1.24.5 and it worked:

NOTE: As per the go.mod file you do need to be on go 1.24.2 or later

This did just get upgraded. In bootdev v1.22.1 you could use go 1.23 or later.

Sidenote
I use mise to manage my go versions in my home directory (as well as other programming languages). I installed go 1.23.12, downloaded bootdev 1.22.1 and then tried to upgrade and the CLI downloaded 1.24.12 for me for the upgrade only (i.e. the go 1.24.12 download was temporary):

$ go version
go version go1.23.12 linux/amd64 
$ go install github.com/bootdotdev/bootdev@v1.22.1
$ bootdev --version
bootdev version v1.22.1
A new version of the bootdev CLI is available!
Please run the following command to update:
  bootdev upgrade
or
  go install github.com/bootdotdev/bootdev@v1.23.2
$ bootdev upgrade
Upgrading Boot.dev CLI...
go: github.com/bootdotdev/bootdev@v1.23.2 requires go >= 1.24.2; switching to go1.24.12
