Try the example code from the README.
create-react-native-module --package-identifier io.mylibrary --is-view --generate-example CarolWidget and create-react-native-module --package-identifier io.mylibrary --generate-example AliceHelper both produce error: unknown option '--package-identifier'.

I'm having the same problem. There is no such option in options, but it asks us to do it. I think the document needs to be updated.
