When attempting to save just a dictionary, SaveManager.Save seems to fail silently and will not write the file.

As a blanket statement, this doesn't seem to be true. Dictionaries that use privative types (i.e. <int, int>) seem to be saving, but Dictionaries with more complex types such as classes that inherit from ScriptableObject seem to fail silently. Still investigating...

Ignore the scriptable object. It does not need to save during runtime. Developer can access it whenever they want without saving it into the save file.

I think anything related to ScriptableObject should be ignored from JSON serialization. They are the predefined data, and developer can get them whenever they want. Does not need to save them, save file is for the user's runtime data that developer wants to save.
