(form builder) - allow saving selected elements in the form builder as template to custom area ("Custom elements") in the toolbox on the left side to speed up form building when using repetitive elements/sections. These saved templates than can be dragged and dropped on the form.

Can we brainstorm on this feature a little? and i think it would be best served with user accounts i guess. Correct me if i am wrong with my thinking here. The idea would be to expose existing form's fields in the left sidebar and reuse them in the new form with all properties intact!

Yes, sure.
I think

• local storage for simple use cases, and
• for using it from different workplaces a user account makes sense.

If a (complex) element is selected (one or multiple nested level(s)) in the builder the complete underlying (sub)schema would be extracted (new ids/keys need to be generated) and provided as a template for later reuse (not only in new forms, but for reuse in the current open form as well) in a custom section in the builder's toolbox.

You could allow importing existing schemas as templates as well.
