Description
We would like to request native support for the Nouveau open‑source GPU driver in the Catppuccin shader packs used with Iris and Sodium. Currently the shaders work only with proprietary drivers (NVIDIA/AMD), which excludes a portion of the Linux community that relies on Nouveau.
Expected behavior
Catppuccin shaders compile and run correctly when Minecraft is launched with Iris + Sodium on systems using the Nouveau driver.
No visual artifacts, crashes, or performance regressions should appear compared to the proprietary driver implementation.
Actual behavior
Shader working with Texture Errors
Steps to reproduce
Install Minecraft with the Iris shader mod and Sodium performance mod.
Install the Catppuccin shader pack (any variant).
Run the game on a Linux system using the Nouveau driver (e.g., a laptop with an NVIDIA GPU and the nouveau kernel module).
See visual artifacts and more...
