Display notes full width

The screen is already narrow enough but the app insists on fitting each note into half width .. even if there is just a single note to be displayed? Is there any way to change it? If I tap on the note it starts the editing mode directly.

The latest release has a compact/Extreme compact mode if you enable it, on every workspace it will now give more space to items below.
This will enhance the visibility of the notes.
For the default editor mode, You can go to Settings->Editor you will find Default Editor View you can change it to reading mode.
