This is somehow related to #498 ,
Would it not make sense to, instead of expecting GH issue submissions (no such submission has been recorded yet) of standards to mention in the SIS, allow users to record stuff online, through the SIS?
I know that I was the one who wanted to remove user input from the SIS -- and I'd say that, back then, there were good reasons for that.
I would like to speculate about opening a safe (secured) way of submitting basic info through the SIS. Without user logins and without displaying the input or acting on it in any way (pure dump) -- that would, sadly, remain up for manual processing. Of course, the route from the input form to the disk (or DB) would be the potential trouble vector.
Let's chat about that, @margaretha , OK?
