In #93 we will replace the output to console for most things with messaging within the Claudius window itself, making the UI more obvious (hopefully). The one remaining bit of console UI is the input asking for the number of frames to record to an animated GIF, which relies on the user typing a number in, so that has to go via the console still.
I think having a way to pop up a modal prompt for input on Claudius is probably both useful here and in other places.
