v4 - FMT_SMF_EXT.1 app note for function 4 #116

Description

@woodbe

In the future, if both Bluetooth BR/EDR and Bluetooth LE are supported, they will be required to be enabled and disabled separately.

This statement should be removed. The reality of mobile devices is that these protocols are not separated, there is only a single switch for enabling/disabling Bluetooth, and this is unlikely to ever change given that end users generally will never have any idea what protocol is being used for the connection to the other Bluetooth device, only that it works, or not. As the protocols are designed to be backwards compatible, having this function would break the protocol.
