the issue is due to PopoverPrimitive.Viewport, if you remove it, everything is ok

I am not 100% sure it's an issue @letstri. If I am not mistaken, the Viewport part is intended to manage collision/repositioning an in this specific layout, the auto-adjustment feels a bit off. Let me check with the Base UI team
