Scanner found, but allegedly offline #790

Describe the bug
I haven't scanned anything in a couple of weeks, but when I just wanted to do so on my Epson ET-2850, NAPS just told me that the scanner is offline. Even after several restarts of both the printer and the computer. I tried to "replace" the scanner selected, but neither on WIA (how I use it) nor through TWAIN does it show up. A manual connection via eSCL also wasn't possible. My guess is the already connected scanner doesn't show up again in the selection, as after deleting the profile and creating a new one it did show up immediately under WIA, but it can still not scan.

The odd thing is also that after going through the hassle of installing Epson's own Smart Scan it is able to scan without any issues. Windows' Scan app didn't show it, but I also didn't bother to see if the printer was also properly set up as a scanner in Windows settings. I also made sure that the firewall wasn't the issue, no success.

How can I find out what exactly is going wrong? NAPS didn't have an update for quite a while, so the only thing that has changed in the last weeks could only have been some Windows update, as I don't think there has been a firmware update for the printer in the past few weeks.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open NAPS2
  2. Click on 'Scan'
