page mix4Snow

• as this page is an md, it has a slightly different letterfont and a different backgroundcolor than the pages that are html's.
• the buttons on this page are a different style than those on e.g. page Stitches.

header.css

• in header.css several general element are mentioned, like buttons

• the import-file button is a different style than buttons on e.g. page Stitches. This can't be solved by using <class="button">, as the file-name next to the button is part of it.

page patterns

• minor issue: pattern.html: for style Header, the style is mentioned first. This is confusing for beginners in js.

help.css

• this css is in assets/css. All other css are in css.

Flip buttons in stitch-gallery.js

• On page stitches, nets, droste: "flip" is in lowercase. On page mix4snow it is "Flip".
• Copilot suggest a <fieldset>. See here
• Use images for the arrows instead of entities. Also on mix4snow.
• Please note: changing <a class = "button"> to <button> displays an image for &varr. on an iPhone.

All buttons

Studying the <button>, GF rarely specifies the type of button. The type should usually be "button" (maybe "reset") but should never be "submit". The default for most/some browsers might be submit and caused frequently trouble because GF should never send anything to a server.

A link styled like a button shows which script function is called in the status bar of the browser. Styling the link like a button prevents users expecting to visit another page. A disadvantage for the user might a smaller target to click than expected.

Not sure which strategy we should aim at.

The ,<button> is used in random-stitches\index.md and in mix4snow\fragement.html. May be on other places as well.
We might either:

• change into <a class="button" ...>
  or
• add type=button: <button type="button" ...>
  or
• only use <button>.
