you can enable it as a git source instead of using possibly outdated libraries.

DWT was started way before that github repository was created. I guessing the original author wanted to have the code base as similar to the original SWT source code as possible. This will help with future merges of new version of SWT. But it might be worth checking out that repository and see if it can be used.
