In emacs -nw, images don't render at all in Ghostel — not even a chafa-style plain-text fallback. Is this expected, or is there a way to get at least a degraded/fallback image display working in -nw?

Traditional Kitty placements are unlikely to work. Unicode placeholder style placements should be working but I'll be honest and say that our current Kitty graphics support is a bit of a hack and needs rework - you don't need a lot of break it. My next TODO item is pretty much rewriting it from scratch.
