papershelf

Note: I don't maintain papershelf anymore. I have replaced it by papr.

Papershelf is a Linux application to organize research papers, books and everything that is a PDF.

Currently this version is in pre-alpha status and there is no package available.

If you want to try it you have to download the source code.

Current features:

  • assign tags to papers
  • filter papers by tags
  • each paper is displayed with a preview which is automatically created when importing a new paper
  • add user defined preview for each paper
  • you can add an abstract, authors, year of publication, title and a subtitle to a paper
  • import new papers
  • make notes for each paper
  • download papers from an URL
  • save backup of notes while making notes for a paper
  • progress bar
  • customize what information for each paper is displayed in the overview
