I have no permission to reopen issue #3976, so I restart this request.
I'm using darktable V 5.6.0 on LMDE7, works great.
I like the liveview of my NIKON D850 in tethering mode, but I cannot see which focus-field is currently active.
I can move the focus-point in tether-mode, but there is no optical way to detect its current position. This makes it hard to focus in tether-mode, especially when taking macro-photos.
It would be a big step foreward to see the current focus-point marked clearly on the screen. And the luxury solution would be to see the available, but inactive focus-fields of the current focus-mode aswell.
So please dear developers, is there anybody out there who has a heart for the liveview feature and likes to make people happy?
Peace
