Is there an integration available for AWS Athena for this analytics agent?

Datahub already have integration with Athena for metadata ingestion.

Thanks @phani538 — great timing, and great use case! Athena + DataHub is a powerful combination, and this is something we'd want to do well.

A few quick questions to help us understand what a high-quality connector would look like for you:

Auth & setup

• How are you authenticating to Athena today? (IAM access keys, assumed role, AWS SSO/Identity Center, or instance profile if the agent would run on AWS infrastructure?)
• Do you use a specific workgroup, or mostly the default? Some orgs enforce S3 output locations at the workgroup level — good to know upfront.

Data & catalog

• Are you querying the standard Glue Data Catalog, or using Athena Federated Query to reach other sources (RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, etc.)?
• Do you have Lake Formation enabled? It adds row/column-level filtering that affects how schema introspection works.

Use case

• What kinds of questions are you hoping to ask the agent? (ad-hoc exploration, recurring business metrics, sharing with non-technical stakeholders?)
• Are you a team of analysts, engineers, or a mix?

One thing worth knowing: since we use SQLAlchemy under the hood and PyAthena has a SQLAlchemy dialect, there's a rough path to get this working today by manually installing pyathena[sqlalchemy] and configuring a connection string in config.yaml. Happy to walk you through that if you want to experiment in the meantime — and any friction you hit would directly inform what the proper connector needs to handle.
