Unable to decode QR code on Apple Monitor III

This is how it looks on APPLE monitor III and I have yet to find a QR code decoder that could figure this out.

I fetched the latest gameserver 20211118 from https://asciiexpress.net/diskserver/. And it seems that all of the games I tried seem to be showing invalid QR code (few random ones I picked this run..) :

So looking at your screen it does not appear your //e is getting into double lores mode which is required to draw the QR codes. You are using a //e correct? (only works with a //e).

I just tested on a //e and get the correct QR codes.

If your Apple //e logic board's part number is 820-0064-A then it does not support double high and low resolution. Only 820-0064-B and later, including 820-0087-A, support double resolutions.

820-0064-A was only made during the first few months of 1983 and Apple offered a free upgrade to 820-0064-B well into the late 1980s so if you have 820-0064-A it is rare!

If you have 820-0064-B or later, ensure there is a jumper installed at J1 on the extended 80 column card.

The above refers to American NTSC Apple //e's. I have found one source that says European PAL Apple //e's have different video circuitry and do support double resolutions even on 820-0064-A.

If this is not enough to either get it working for you or explain why your hardware doesn't support it, please tell us more about your hardware configuration: logic board part number, whether it is NTSC or PAL, whether it has the NMOS 6502 or CMOS 65C02 processor, whether it has the updated ("enhanced") ROMs, whether it is beige or platinum, whether is has an extended or non-extended 80-column card, any other cards installed, any hardware modifications made.
