Differentiating dragging and scrolling in touch devices

Hi,
sorry, I am here again. please help me with this issue. probably my last issue.
In touch devices, i want to differentiate between dragging and scrolling.

when scrolling the page by touching the dragable element, i want scrolling to happen but not draging. so is there any way to make it??

reproducing the issue: open the below link in touch devices and try to scroll the page by touching the draggable elements(A or B in this example). Now scroll wont wok.

expected solution: If i want to scroll the page by touching the dragable element, i want the page to scroll. but if i am intended to drag my element, then dragging should happen with auto scroll option.

Is there a way to differentiate both??

Hi,
for user interaction with touch screen there is no gesture difference between scrolling page and dragging DIV element. When DIV element is touched then this means to drag DIV element otherwise page will be scrolled. Because dragging and scrolling are performed with the same gesture (e.g. with one finger), I'm afraid that your request is not feasible.

The only trick that can be applied is to set some pause on element touch. User will have to touch DIV element and hold for defined pause and then DIV will start to move. Otherwise touching DIV element and immediate moving will be understood as page scroll. Adding pause before dragging DIV element (needed to differentiate scrolling and dragging) could negatively affect UX and I'm not sure this will be helpful.
