--focus (#4) has been dropped from the codebase in version 3.0. Would you consider adding it back please?

I'm so sorry... My intention while trimming the code was to make it easier to evolve, because I'm planning a huge refactoring... but I went too far, and didn't notice that options where in fact working good. Please, if you have the time now, can you add it back?
