Dialog Boxes not focusing

When using the dialog box commands (showWarning, requestNumber, etc.) from a .py file, dialog boxes appear in front and with focus. When referenced and run from the command line, the boxes appear in front but do not have focus.

@dllargent after the recent dialog fixes, it might be worth checking if this is still an issue.

Environment

The following occurs with V0.4.9 in Thonny on Windows 11.

Test 1

Loaded the following statements from a .py file.

from mediaComp import *
showError("Error")
showInformation("Information")
showWarning("Warning")

Result:
Each box was in front and had focus.

Test 2

With Thonny still open from having just run Test 1, the following statements were entered one at a time in Thonny's shell.

from mediaComp import *
showError("Error")
showInformation("Information")
showWarning("Warning")

Result:
Each box was in front and had focus.

Test 3

Closed Thonny, then reopened Thonny, and entered the following statements in Thonny's shell.

from mediaComp import *
showError("Error")
showInformation("Information")
showWarning("Warning")
showError("Error")

Result:
The first box was in front but did not have focus. Manually clicked on the OK button.
The second, third, and fourth boxes were in front and had focus.

Tried issuing showInformation() first (rather than second) and received the same results.

Related issue

The requestX() functions (requestInteger(), requestNumber(), etc.) have a similar issue. Regardless of them being issued from a .py file or from Thonny's shell, NONE of the boxes ever have focus, but do appear in front.

Update WRT the requestX() functions... These boxes have a data entry field and a button. The box seems to get the focus, but not the data entry field. That is, when the box is opened, I can not start typing due to the focus not being on the data entry field. However, if I press the tab key when the box opens, the focus moves to the data entry field and I can then type. Thus my conclusion that the box (as a whole) has the focus. We just need to isolate the focus to the data entry field.
